Ocean Geographic is now calling for entries to the 11th edition of OG Pictures of the Year Competition (PICOTY). As usual, there are amazing trip and gear prizes up for grabs, and a prestigious judging panel that includes David Doubilet, Stephen Frink, Sylvia Earle, Doug Perrine, Pascal Lecocq and Valerie Taylor.
The contest invites contributions to 17 categories: Animal Portraits, Fish Behaviour, Animal Behaviour, Black & White Print, Colour Prints, Coral Reefs of the World, Creative Vision, Small Exotic Animals, Human & Ocean, Open Water (Pelagic Zone), Black & Blue Water Exploration, Emerging Photographer of the Year, Music & Pictures, OG Master Portfolio, Emerging Ocean Geographic Photo-Journalist, Conservation Picture of the Year, and Vision of the Sea Movie.
“Classic entry” costs $50, which allows you to submit up to 20 images, while “premium entry” costs $70, allowing up to 30 images to be submitted. The competition is open for submissions until January 31st, 2024. Head over to the Ocean Geographic Society website to find out more.
