Nikon Files Patent For A Better Battery Meter
The Examiner uncovered a patent filed by Nikon last week for a feature that we think little of, except when we really need it to work and it doesn't - our battery meters. Don't you hate when your battery life indicator goes from something to next to nothing seemingly from one moment to the next? All the image processing, buffering, lens communication, auto focusing, reviewing and other processes in today's sophisticated cameras have made the old scool battery meters anything but accurate. So kudos to Nikon for doing something about it.
