New Underwater Hotel in Development

Deep Ocean Technology, a Polish company, is developing a new underwater hotel design called the Water Discus.
The hotel, which rests on supports that connect to the sea bed, features a disc-shaped facility below the water that houses 22 bedrooms. The underwater section of the hotel is connected to another disc situated above the water that contains other hotel accommodations.
The underwater component is meant to rest just 20 feet below the surface where the colors of the ocean can be seen best. It’s designed so that the loudest features—such as bathrooms, pumps, and air conditioning equipment—are placed in the middle of the disc so that noise does not disturb the marine life.
