All hard drives fail. We’re going to say it again: All hard drives fail. And if you’ve read our underwater photographer’s guide to digital image storage, then you know having a backup of your images in the cloud is a convenient, affordable option. And Google has just made it even more affordable.
The new Google One cloud storage offers 2TB of storage for just $10 per month. That’s a 50 percent discount from the now-discontinued Google Drive. Don’t need that much space? The bargain basement offers 100GB ($2) and 200GB ($3) plans as well.
The storage space can be used for any files, but large images and video – think 4K – files seem especially appropriate. In fact, if you’re really keen on storing large files, Google even offers a 30TB storage plan for a whopping $300 per month.
Each plan comes with live chat support. The storage plans will roll out in the U.S. in the coming months, with offerings in other regions thereafter. Learn more, here.
