Galapagos Master, the first yacht to be brought under Worldwide Dive and Sail’s Master Liveaboards brand umbrella, has returned from its maiden trip to its namesake islands.

Fifteen guests joined Worldwide Dive and Sail GM, Mark Shandur, for the trip, racking up an impressive roster of creature sightings: Galapagos sharks, hammerheads, whitetips, groupers, rays, turtles, sea lions, schooling fish, and more. Above the waterline, blue footed boobies, frigate birds and iguanas topped off the list.

Master Liveaboards are now taking bookings for the year-round trips. Check out the press release below and the read about the maiden trip on the ship’s blog.

PRESS RELEASE

Exciting Galapagos Master Maiden Trip: Diving the Galapagos Islands!

Worldwide Dive and Sail, the founders and owners of Siren Fleet bring you the best diving experiences in South East Asia and the Pacific. Already cruising and diving in the Philippines, Indonesia, Fiji and Palau with the Siren Fleet, Worldwide Dive and Sail bring you the latest in liveaboard luxury with the launch of their new brand “Master Liveaboards.”

The new fleet is designed to offer divers an even wider choice of diving destinations than that already provided by their phinisi yachts already plying the waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. First on the list is the Galapagos Master, one the most eco-friendly liveaboards in the region. She will be diving the Galapagos Islands with 7 and 10 night itineraries year round to cover both the “whale shark season” (May–November) and the “manta ray season” (December–April).

Previously operating as the Deep Blue; in November 2014 she began a full refit and modernization by the Worldwide Dive and Sail team and in May she was ready to start cruising the wild islands of the Galapagos.

The Worldwide Dive and Sail GM, Mark Shandur, and 15 other guests were the lucky ones to experience her maiden trip. “The diving in the Galapagos is some of the most unique in the world, and we were anxious to jump into the water and experience Darwin’s playground.” said Mark. The trip was a great success with thrilling dives showcasing hammerheads, schooling fish, huge groupers, marble and spotted eagle rays, enormous turtles and playful sea lions. On land, they had the opportunity to see the amazing wildlife that the land of Darwin has to offer: blue footed boobies, frigate birds and iguanas.
