New "Follow Focus Knob"- The Future of DSLR Video
By Joseph Tepper, February 12, 2011 @ 09:00 AM (EST)

Unfortunately, one of the coolest, new photography gadgets released at the CP+ show this week has nothing to do with Underwater Videography- at least not yet...

The nifty Okii USB Follow Focus knob allows videographers and photographers to manually focus Canon EOS HD DSLRs, without ever touching a computer or camera!

The focus device, measuring less than 3 inches and weighing in at 140 g, features a joystick-like knob in the center for manual control of the autofocus motor found in Canon's USM lenses.

Additionally, the focus device can save up to four predetermined focus points for quick access during shooting. It is certainly a big step forward for shooting video with DSLRs; and it may one day impact shooting video under the waves as well.
