When Nauticam announced its housing for the Canon EOS R50 in March, it looked much like any other housing from the Hong Kong company. But Nauticam had actually made a rather unusual design decision: The new housing accommodates the camera with the Canon RF-S 18–45mm f/4.5–6.3 IS STM kit lens attached, i.e., the port is fixed. Rather than changing “dry” lenses, users attach macro or wide-angle wet lenses to shoot different subjects.
Now Nauticam has gone one step further and created the Pro Package for the Canon EOS R50 to make it even easier for the serious beginner to get started. The bundle includes the NA-R50 housing, tray with left and right handles, two 1-inch ball mounts, shutter extension, and vacuum system.
The Pro Package for the Canon EOS R50 has an MSRP of $2,030, while the price of the housing alone is $1,494, so the difference—just over $500—is what you’re paying for those extras. (And Nauticam is hoping you still have some money left over for a couple of their wet lenses…)

INTRODUCING NA-R50 HOUSING PRO PACKAGE FOR CANON EOS R50
The NA-R50 Underwater Housing
Nauticam has a longstanding reputation for pioneering underwater housing technology, consistently pushing boundaries to create evolutionary products that simplify imaging creation. The NA-R50 Underwater housing embodies these qualities, combining the beloved features of Nauticam's housings into a compact and lightweight design.
Specifically engineered for the Canon RF-S 18-45 F4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens, the housing integrates the lens port seamlessly, eliminating the need for additional maintenance, similar to Nauticam's compact camera systems. This versatile lens delivers excellent results across a wide to narrow fish portrait field of view range. It can also be combined with Nauticam's WWL-1B or WWL-C for sharp wide-angle coverage with full zoom capabilities, all while maintaining a modest form factor. For a comprehensive and portable system, Nauticam's Compact Macro Converter water contact optics can be added, allowing photographers to tackle any scenario.
Crafted from rugged aluminum, the NA-R50 housing is not only lighter but also more compact compared to previous Canon APS-C systems. It is an ideal choice for photographers seeking stunning images and videos with industry-leading autofocus, while enjoying the convenience of minimal bulk and maintenance. The housing is ready for submersion, including the zoom gear, making it a hassle-free setup. Simply combine it with the R50 camera and RFS 18-45 lens, and you're ready to capture your shots.
