Nat Geo's Relics to Reefs
The February, 2011 issue of National Geographic magazine includes an articles entitled, "Relics to Reefs," written by Stephen Harrigan with photographs by David Doubilet.
The article focusses on U.S. artificial reefs, including well known wrecks, and a variety of other artificial reefs projects mainly off Florida and the east coast. A photo gallery of David Doubilet's images can be viewed online. National Geographic has also included video of the sinking of the General Hoyt S. Vandenburg off Key West, FL.
Fantastic images and an interesting video of the preparation and sinking of the Vandenburg are included online at NatGeo's website.
