Monterey Shootout Results Announced

2015 "Advanced Wide-Angle Traditional" First Prize by Clinton Bauder.

The winners of the annual Monterey Shootout competition have been announced. For just 36 hours, underwater photographers compete by capturing the beauty off the Californian coast.

This year’s winners list features a lot of new names, promising some up-and-coming talent in the industry. The list of prizewinners includes Clinton Bauder, Joe Platko, Brad Brown, Ken Bailey and Ryan Boerema. Participants submitted images into a variety of categories ranging from “Advanced Wide-Angle” to “Beginner Macro Unrestricted.”

The annual shootout is hosted by the Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) and Backscatter. The full gallery of the impressive winning images can be accessed, here.
