The Monterey Shootout Kicks off this Weekend

World-class underwater shootout competition, $25,000 in prizes, instructional seminars and film festival featuring the top image-makers—sign me up!
Well, it’s just about your last chance to sign up for the Annual Monterey Shootout. Going 33 years strong, this long weekend event hosts divers from all around the world to photograph Monterey Bay for the chance to win their share of $25,000 in prizes. Photographers also get free tickets to the film festival.
The shootout runs August 8–10 and is sponsored by the Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) and Backscatter. Last-minute registration and info is available through the shootout website.
