Media Has A Role In Marine Campaigns

Journalists play an important role in raising awareness of how the marine environment is being affected by people's actions, said Fiji Media Council chairman Daryl Tarte.
He was speaking at a function hosted by SeaWeb for journalists at the Peninsula Hotel in Suva on Thursday night.
"You journalists are the vital link," Mr Tarte said.
"You can be the conduit between those who are aware of how we are destroying the ocean and those who can change their habits...
