There are a lot of great things you can do to raise money and support for breast cancer research. But at DPG, we are partial to methods involving the ocean and watersports—such as our recently concluded 2018 Think Pink Photo Competition.
That brings us to Nick Hobson. Nick recently decided to swim across Lake Michigan—the world’s fifth largest lake—to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Nick’s mother is a breast cancer survivor.
The 20-mile swim took Nick 11 hours, who was followed by a safety boat the entire trip. "It was a tough swim, much tougher than I thought it would be—overall just super happy to be finished," Hobson told the local ABC affiliate.
Well, done Nick. And the message for all involved in the fight against cancer? Just keep swimming.
