Man Sets Deepest SCUBA Dive Record

“How deep do you go?”
How many times do non-divers ask you that question? When you tell them below 100 feet, they usually have a reaction of amazement of how brave you are for visiting such depths. Well, what if you told them you went to 1,000 feet.
Diver Ahmed Gabr can confidently tell people that after setting the world record for deepest dive on SCUBA. The 41-year old man reached a bone-crushing 1,090 feet in the waters of the Red Sea—shattering previous Guinness world records.
It only took the record-setter 12 minutes to reach the depth, but more than 15 hours to safely ascend. Hope he brought a crossword puzzle for the trip back up.
