Lion Suit Patterned Wetsuit Claims to Deter Sharks
If you’ve ever been unfortunate to feel the venomous vengeance of a lion fish spine, you probably have a new respect for the fish.
Makers of a new lionfish-patterned wetsuit hope this will have the same effect on sharks. On the website for Boatstogo, the company claims that the stripped suite will “reduce your chance of being attacked by a shark!”
Not everyone’s a believer. Shark ecologist Bradley Wetherbee told Nat Geo, “I seriously doubt that will work.”
So do we, Mr. Wetherbee.
