Kraken Sports is now shipping its latest video light—the Abyss 10000. As you might have already guessed, the Abyss 10000 packs 10,000 lumens of light via a wide flood beam. The COB LED has a color rendering index of 90 (sunlight being defined as CRI 100) and color temperature of 5600K. Control is provided via a dial and single push button, but the light can also be hooked up to Kraken’s KR-RC02 remote control via fiber-optic cable, giving full control over the light from one spot on your rig.
Depth-rated to 330 feet (100 meters), the Abyss 10000 offers a beam angle of 120 degrees, allowing a pair of lights to provide coverage for expansive reef scenes and big animals. The light runs on three 21700 Li-ion batteries, which provide a runtime of around an hour at 80% power, according to Kraken.
The Kraken Abyss 10000 video light is available now from retailers such as Backscatter, priced at $500.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Abyss 10000 – Pure Power, No Extras
The Abyss 10000 is built on the same proven platform as our Hydra 10000, but with one clear focus: everything you need, nothing you don’t. Designed for divers who want uncompromising light output without the added cost of multiple color modes, the Abyss 10000 delivers 10,000 lumens of high-CRI flood light in a compact, rugged body.
With a wide 120° beam angle, a true-to-life CRI 90 rating, and 5600K daylight balance, the Abyss 10000 ensures your underwater photos and videos capture colors exactly as they appear in nature—no washed-out blues, no lifeless tones.
We’ve also carried over the new push-button + dial interface from the Hydra series, replacing the old 3-button system of the Hydra 6000 and 8000v2. Adjusting brightness is now intuitive and effortless, even while wearing gloves.
Whether you’re shooting on a GoPro, action camera, or compact rig, the Abyss 10000 delivers professional-quality lighting in a straightforward, cost-effective package.
