How does swimming with and photographing the world’s largest predator within arm’s reach sound? Pretty awesome if you ask us.
Our partner in expeditions and frequent DPG trip leader, Keri Wilk, is leading a series of expeditions to photograph 70-foot-long sperm whales in the waters off of Dominica. This opportunity to photograph these amazing cetaceans is beyond rare—with only a handful of permits to enter the water handed out every year.
Keri is not only an acclaimed photographer, but perhaps the most experienced person when it comes to getting in the water with sperm whales. For the last three years, Keri has led film crews and photographers on this intimate encounter with the whales. And it’s not just sperm whales—in recent years, the expedition has resulted in encounters with false killer whales, dolphins, beaked whales and much more.
There’s only a handful of open spots left in this year's expeditions, which run between March 8–31. For more information or to inquire about availability, contact Keri at keri@reefnet.ca or visit the expedition website.
