Kenko Releases Updated Teleconverters
By Matt J. Weiss, January 25, 2010 @ 02:56 PM (EST)
Kenko has released upgrades for three of their teleconverters for Canon and Nikon mounts. The DGX upgrades now will communicate the effective focal length and aperture of the lens and converter combination to the camera so it is in the EXIF data. Basically, adding the X is not a huge upgrade, but it's an upgrade none the less.
For those that don't know what a teleconverter is, it is placed between the camera body and your lens to increase the lenses focal length. The 1.4x teleconverter effectively increases the focal length of a lens 1.4x. They are good tool for supermacro underwater photography.
