Former DPG Photographer of the Week and Ikelite Ambassador Ken Kiefer is getting worldwide attention for the images of his wife and model Kim posing with crocodiles. Featured in outlets such as the New York Post, the images are the result of a recent shoot in Mexico’s Chinchorro Banks.
“Well, after two years of trying, Kimber finally got her wish and was able to do some modeling with a crocodile,” Ken posted on Instagram. “Only possible due to training and safety overwatch from an incredible group of people!”
While the shoot is definitely one that must be conducted under strict safety guidelines, it is important to note that photographing crocs in the Chinchorro Banks is far from uber-dangerous—as it’s being presented in the tabloids. In fact, we have a guide to planning your own croc photography.
