DPG is always on the lookout for passionate, talented individuals—wherever they may be based around the world—to help create the best writing and media team possible. If you would like to be a part of Team DPG, check out some of the roles we have below.
(Note: We’ll be updating this page as more roles open and some are filled, so check back periodically.)
Short Form Writer
DivePhotoGuide (DPG), a leading resource for underwater photographers and videographers, is seeking a Short Form Writer to create news content for its online platform.
Are you freelancer that loves to write and loves the ocean? DPG is looking for short form writers (any experience level!) to report the latest news of interest to underwater photographers in the areas of photography, video, diving, ocean science, conservation, and whatever else would interest underwater photographers. Canon just announced a new four million ISO sensor? Perfect for the news. Someone caught video of a breaching humpback whale landing on top of some kayakers? Great quick post.
DPG’s short form news pieces usually run between 100–350 words in length and are meant to be written quickly. You will be linked into our editorial team and added to a content schedule. This is part time gig, perfect for someone who already works as a freelancer. We're looking for someone who is able to wire at least twice a week, but preference will be given to those who can contribute daily. We compensate based on how much time you can commit, and will include the perks of being part of the team, including opportunities to travel.
Interested applicants should email Contact@DivePhotoGuide.com with the subject “Short Form Writer.” Please include links to two recent news stories that you would write about in your first posts, as well as any writing samples.

Social Media Editor
DivePhotoGuide (DPG), a leading resource for underwater photographers and videographers, is seeking a part-time Social Media Editor to manage and develop its social media accounts.
Working with our small but growing team, the Social Media Editor will, on a daily basis, optimize content for our social media channels and get readers involved by engaging them in conversation with a fun and credible voice. The Social Media Editor will be creating content on our established platforms and will also be integral to developing and building audiences on emerging platforms.
While professional experience in managing social media accounts is not needed, we are looking for someone that is highly active on various social media platforms. The Social Media Editor will need to be self-motivated, willing to work remotely, and understand media best practices. It is also vital to have excellent writing skills, and of course, a passion for the ocean and underwater imagery.
This position will be compensated either on an hourly or monthly basis, and we anticipate the job requiring an initial commitment of around 10 hours per week. There will also be opportunities to develop long- and short-form content for DPG, as well as to travel and participate in assignments.
Interested applicants should email Contact@DivePhotoGuide.com with the subject “Social Media Editor.” Please include links to your social media accounts as well as any writing samples.
