The latest edition of Underwater Photography magazine—Issue 149—is now available as a free download.
As usual, the issue begins with a handy roundup of the latest industry news and new imaging gear. New equipment highlights include Nauticam housings for the Insta360 X5 housing, Canon EOS C50 cinema camera, and Nikon ZR cinema camera; Sea&Sea’s universal housing for Nikon; and Ikelite’s RC232 TTL hybrid strobe/video light.
Among the issue’s articles are features on Underwater Photographer of the Year 2026 and DPG Masters 2025; a review of the Rokinon 14–24mm f/2.8 wide-angle lens by Phil Rudin; an in-depth look at UWACAM, the underwater camera app for users of DIVEVOLK SeaTouch housings, by Matthias Lebo; and a very interesting article by Nigel Motyer discussing underwater photography using strobes versus using video lights. Also in the issue: Ross McLaren on shooting in low-viz conditions, Eric Lambert on capturing close-focus wide-angle environmental portraits, and marine biologist Gal Kahn on ethical considerations for underwater photography.
