Issue 127 of Underwater Photography Magazine Available
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, July 5, 2022 @ 08:30 AM (EST)

The latest edition of Underwater Photography magazine is now available as a free download.

Issue 127 features the usual comprehensive roundup of industry news and new imaging gear, including Ikelite’s housing for the OM System (aka Olympus) OM-1, Nauticam’s NA-R5C housing for the Canon EOS R5 C, and Ikelite’s DS230 strobe with video light—which is also now available as a version with modeling light.

The issue showcases a selection of winners of the Ninth United Nations World Oceans Day Photo Competition (which is hosted by DPG), reproduces the latest edition of Backscatter’s handy article on “Best Lenses for Compact Cameras,” and features a review of the Marelux Smart Optical Flash Tube (SOFT). There’s also an interview with the talented wide-angle shooter Damien Mauric, a technique article on shooting jawfish with eggs by Tony Land, and several great travel stories. And that lovely cover shot? That’s Dan Bolt’s first prize winner in the 2022 Splash-in underwater photography competition run by the Torbay branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC).

Getting your free copy of the latest issue of Underwater Photography magazine is simplicity itself: Simply sign up with your email to get access. If you’ve already signed up (and you’re logged in), you can download your copy directly here.
