Isotta Shipping Housing for Sony Alpha 1
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, January 27, 2023 @ 01:30 AM (EST)

Isotta is now shipping its housing for the Sony Alpha 1. The full-frame mirrorless a1 packs a 50MP stacked CMOS sensor and is powered by two Bionz XR processors, making it capable of shooting bursts of up to 20fps (lossless compressed or uncompressed RAW) as well as 8K/30p and up to 4K/120p video.

Isotta’s housing for the Sony a1 is built around their B120 port system with 120mm bayonet, and as you’d expect, boasts all of top features on the company’s latest housings: anodized aluminum construction, integrated adjustable handles, double O-ring seals on buttons and removable parts, Isotta’s signature one-handed open/close, and a built-in moisture detector. There’s a large-bore M28 port for attaching recorder/monitors such as the Atomos Ninja V or Ninja V+. The housing comes with two fiber-optic ports as standard, but if you prefer electrical strobe triggering, you can order it with Nikonos N5 or S6 bulkheads.

The housing is available now from retailers such as Backscatter, priced at $3,490.
