Grand prize winner and 1st Place (Nature): “Wallace Flying Frog” by Chin Leong Tao (Singapore)
The International Photography Awards (IPA) has announced the winners of their “OneShot: Movement” competition, which saw thousands of photographers from all over the world submit their motion-themed images to five categories: Street Photography, Nature, Fine Art, People, and Technology/Machine. Be sure to check out the grand prize winner, “Wild Carrots” by Anne Mason-Hoerter, which won first place in the Fine Art category, but it’s the amazing winners in the Nature category that will most interest underwater shooters.
First place went to Singaporean photographer Chin Leong Teo for his stunning (and technically perfect) capture of Wallace’s flying frog, a species found in Malaysia and western Indonesia. Second was “Flying over the Sea” by Italian shooter Claudio Piccoli. And third went to Canada’s Jean-Christophe Girard Lemay for his shot of a bubble-blowing beluga whale.
