Instagram Adds Pinch-Zoom to Photos and Videos
By Joseph Tepper, August 31, 2016 @ 05:09 PM (EST)
You know the feeling: You’ve found an awesome underwater photo in your Instagram feed and want to zoom in for a closer look, but you can’t. Well, that is until today.
Instagram has added a pinch to zoom feature when viewing photos and videos in the mobile application. This tool will function in images/videos from feeds, profiles, or in the explore section. Check out this demo:
“Dive into an adorable puppy’s smile or into every detail of your friend’s new shirt,” Instagram posted. “Zoom is one of the most requested features from the community, and it’s finally here.”
We prefer to “dive into” the jagged teeth of a shark or every detail on a nudibranch on the DPG Instagram page, but we get the point—thanks Instagram!
