GoPro unveiled the HERO11 Black in mid-September, boasting about a new 27MP sensor with an aspect ratio of 8:7 and the ability to capture 5.3K/60p 10-bit video, among other changes. Fortunately, however, there was one thing that they didn’t change—the physical box for all these electronic tricks. That was good news for anyone making GoPro accessories, as compatibility seemed assured. Backscatter, for instance, now lists its FLIP filters and MacroMate Mini close-up lens as being for the HERO 11—as well as every other GoPro back to the HERO5.
Japanese company Inon has now officially confirmed that this is also the case for its accessories, which are built around the company’s SD Front Mask and M67 Filter Adapter, designed for the HERO9 but compatible with the HERO10 and HERO11. The Filter Adapter makes it possible to use Inon’s UW Variable Red Filter, and the SD Front Mask allows you to easily mount Inon’s semi-fisheye (UFL-G140 SD) and wide close-up (UCL-G165 SD) wet lenses.
Available from Backscatter, the SD Front Mask is $70 and the M67 Filter Adapter costs $90, while the UCL-G165 SD and UFL-G140 SD are priced at $220 and $380, respectively. Find out more about all these products on Inon’s dedicated GoPro Web page.
