Indonesia to Offer Visa Free Travel to Tourists
By Joseph Tepper, March 18, 2015 @ 10:45 AM (EST)
Your next dive trip to Indonesia is about to get a little bit easier. This week, the Indonesian Government announced it would begin offering visa-free travel to visitors from 30 countries. No longer will visitors from those countries be required to purchase their tourist visas.
Notably, Australia has been excluded from this list, as tensions between the two countries increase. Australia accounts for roughly 12 percent of foreigners visiting Indonesia.
In other visa related news, Egypt is tightening their visa requirements: Beginning in May, visitors must obtain visas at their respective embassies before arriving in Egypt.
