Indonesia: WWF's Lida Pet-Soede on Overfishing
In this blog on National Geographic, Lida Pet-Soede, a long term resident of Indonesia that works for WWF shares her thoughts on the declining fish stocks and overfishing in Indonesia.
Previosuly blamed on foregin vessels fishing in Indonesian waters, Pet-Soede points to the fact that local catch goes unreported and thousands of small and medium boats fish the 4 mile zones bordering each island every day. Read more of her blog here.
