News
Ikelite has released its housing for the Canon EOS R6 V, Canon’s first V-series camera. The “V”—of course—indicates that the camera is aimed at videographers and content creators, and what you’re getting is essentially an EOS R6 Mark III minus the EVF but with the addition of a cooling fan. That means the R6 V is capable of shooting the same formats as the R6 III—7K/60p RAW Light, 7K/30p open gate, oversampled 4K/60p, and uncropped 4K/120p—but without the danger of overheating.
As you’d expect, Ikelite’s R6 V housing has much in common with their R6 Mark III housing, including ABS-PC blend construction and compatibility with both Canon RF- and EF-mount lenses (the latter via an adapter). Unlike the R6 III housing, however, the R6 V housing does not ship with an Ikelite bulkhead and manual hotshoe. You’ll need to add Ikelite’s B3 Bulkhead & Hotshoe Upgrade Kit if you want to shoot with electrically triggered strobes; or add their TT5 Canon TTL Fiber Optic Transmitter if you prefer fiber-optic triggering. Both M16 and M24 ports are available, so adding an external monitor/recorder is a breeze.
A tray with left-hand quick release handle ships with the housing, and you can easily add the right-hand quick release handle with trigger extensions. The housing is roomy enough to accommodate Ikelite’s innovative USB charging and data transfer bulkhead, meaning you never have to remove the camera from the housing.
The Ikelite Canon EOS R6 V housing is priced at $1,895. There’s also a “Deluxe Version” that includes both handles, the USB-C charging and data transfer bulkhead, and a vacuum pump, for $2,195.

200DL Underwater Housing for Canon R6 V Camera
$ 1,895.00
The Canon EOS R6 V Mirrorless Camera is an amazing new contender in the field of compact hybrid cinema cameras. It features a 32.5 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, 7.5 stops in-body image stabilization (IBIS), and a built-in cooling fan. When combined with some of the best lenses available right now, the R6 V makes easy work for the underwater videographer.
200DL Underwater Housing
This is a full featured and durable waterproof housing for Canon R6 V cinema cameras. Suitable for scuba, snorkel, surf, pool, and any application in or around the water.
Our custom ABS-PC blend is lighter than aluminum yet strong enough for almost anything you want to throw at it.
A massive selection of both native Canon RF and EF-mount lenses (with adapter) can be used with our series of optical grade acrylic domes and glass flat ports. Zoom gears are available for most popular lenses and driven by a large, ergonomic soft-touch lobed control on the left side of the housing.
Always Be Shooting
The first-of-its-kind USB-C Bulkhead (sold separately—or choose the Deluxe version of the housing to get it built in) allows you to top off the battery without removing your camera from the housing. Bring a power bank onto the boat for quick charges in-between dives without risking opening and closing the system.
Endless Expandability
An optional LCD hood (sold separately) attaches easily to the rear mounting rails on the back of the housing to protect against the annoying glare when shooting in shallow, sunny conditions.
If you need to add an external monitor, integrated M16 and M24 accessory ports are built-in and ready to attach a third party accessory.
If you plan to capture some stills while you're under, it's simple to add a flash bulkhead and hotshoe or fiber optic trigger. Use the TT5 Canon TTL Fiber Optic Transmitter for fiber optic triggering or the Bulkhead & Hotshoe Upgrade Kit for Canon for electrical triggering.
It is necessary to add the Canon AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter to attach a flash hotshoe to the camera. The Canon AD-E1 is not available from Ikelite
The Ultimate Assurance
Our housings uniquely allow you to see your camera inside, making it easier to adapt to using it inside of a housing. Use the vacuum leak detection system allows you to check the housing prior to entering the water. Requires vacuum pump—sold separately.
Every housing is built in the USA, checked with a camera, and water pressure tested to 200 feet (60 meters) before it makes its way from us to you.
- Controls: Controls are provided for all camera functions except the Multi-controller joystick up/down/left/right, rear control wheel, front record button, and electronic W/T. Zoom operation is controlled through a large control knob and gearing mechanism on the side of the housing.
- Port Mount: DL (Dry Lock)
- Depth Rating: 200 feet (60 meters)
- Rear O-Ring: 0132.59
- Front O-Ring: 0132.45
Pre-Dive Checks
There is no greater assurance than being able to see your camera and O-ring seal through the back of the housing. Our signature open-groove design suspends the rear O-ring in a natural position that is easier to maintain and more reliable than forcing the O-ring into a channel. Once the housing is closed you can see the O-ring form a solid, waterproof seal.
We recommend using a pump with gauge to pull a vacuum on the housing and check for leaks prior to entering the water.
Construction
Our specially formulated ABS-PC blend housing is highly durable yet significantly lighter than aluminum. The light color keeps your camera cooler when shooting in warm, sunny environments.
Lens Support
Ikelite lens ports are the lightest on the market, yet robust and capable of standing up to rough surf.
We support a wide variety of lenses. Most popular zoom lenses and select focus rings can be engaged using simple gearing that puts adjustment right at your fingertips. Zoom and focus gears differ depending on which lens you are using.
Lens ports and zoom gears sold separately. Refer to the appropriate port chart for compatibility information.
Wi-Fi Transfer
Use the camera's built-in Wi-Fi feature to download photos to another device without removing the camera from the housing. The Wi-Fi feature is only usable above water within close proximity to the connected device.
Compatibility
Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
Differences in lens and control placement prevent other camera models from being used in or adapted to this housing. We are not aware of any other models which may be used in or adapted to this housing.
