Hugyfot Shipping Housing for the Nikon Z7 II/Z6 II
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, March 7, 2022 @ 11:30 PM (EST)

Hugyfot is now shipping its new housing for the Nikon Z7 II and Z6 II. The housing is also compatible with the original Nikon Z7 and Z6, since externally all four models are all but identical. The second-generation Z6 II and Z7 II feature the same 24.5MP and 45.7MP BSI CMOS sensors, respectively, but boast performance-enhancing Expeed 6 processors that bring faster burst shooting, larger buffer sizes, better autofocus tracking, and 4K/60p internal video recording.

Hugyfot’s housing is a departure from its previous designs: It’s more compact and more lightweight and has a more rounded look. While it’s machined out of a solid block of aluminum, instead of the company’s usual hard-anodized finish, the housing features a ceramic polymer based thin film coating called Cerakote, which is highly resistant to scratches, chemicals, heat, UV light, etc.

The standard housing configuration includes twin optical ports for triggering strobes, the HugyCheck vacuum and leak detection system, an M16 port for accessories such as a vacuum valve or external monitor/recorder, and dual aluminum handles with one-inch ball mounts plus an additional ball mount on the top of housing. Hugyfot offers various options, including Nikonos strobe connections, a TTL converter, and different viewfinders.

Depth-rated to 100 meters (330 feet), the housing is availble in Graphite Black, Titanium, Blue Titanium and Pink Champagne. Contact your Hugyfot dealer for pricing and availability.

Housing for the Nikon Z6/7 II

Since the production of Hugyfot housings moved to Belgium in 2003 we have been hard anodizing all aluminum parts.

We feel it is time now to move to one of the most performing thin film coatings available today.

Cerakote is a ceramic polymer based thin film coating that offers industry leading durability, hardness, flexibility, UV stability together with excellent scratch-, corrosion-, heat- and chemical resistance. The finish is stunning and a pleasure to the eye and touch.

Our newest Hugyfot products will be offered in following Cerakote Elite and H Series Oven cured colors: Graphite black, Titanium, Blue Titanium and Pink Champagne.

Hugyfot manufacturing
