Heron Island Underwater Photo Event Kicks Off
By Joseph Tepper, May 2, 2018 @ 01:03 PM (EST)
Underwater photographers are flocking to Heron Island for a unique underwater photo event that is part workshop, shootout, and gear testing. The multi-day event is being organized by the Canon Collective, with Scubapix and Nauticam providing test gear.
The event kicks off May 5th on Australia’s Heron Island, which sits more than 200 miles northwest of Brisbane. Twenty-five underwater photographers will receive advice and tutorials from the pros not only on shooting underwater, but also golden-light imaging, astrophotography, and post-processing.
Can’t make the event? Wetpixel will be covering the event with daily posts—so stay tuned.
