Robots are stealing all of the jobs: And they are coming for photographers next. Google has unveiled new artificial intelligence-powered technology that can automatically edit photos on your smartphone.
The technology – rolled out at the I/O developer conference – analyzes your images and makes smart suggestions for edits. These include increasing the brightness of an image or auto-cropping if the horizon is on an angle. As well, the software can recognize faces in the image and suggest the user send it to the right person. If you take a picture of a document, the AI will even suggest you save the photo as a PDF.
Once the program makes a suggestion all you have to do is tap once to confirm the changes. Soon, it will be one tap to edit. Next thing you know Google will be taking the pictures.
