Good News for Six Fish Populations

In its yearly report, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) revealed that a record six fish populations have been restored to healthy and sustainable levels in 2011.
The six populations are Atlantic coast summer flounder, gulf of Maine haddock, northern California coast Chinook salmon, Washington coast coho salmon, and Pacific coast widow rockfish.
This brings the number of restored fish populations up to a total of 27 since the beginning of the 21st century.
