The new AX100 housing by Gates takes advantage of the superior image quality offered by the Sony FDR-AX100 4K camcorder, while also offering compatibilty with Sony’s HDR-CX900 full HD model. The housing even accommodates the various available camcorder battery sizes (including the high-capacity NP-VF100) to maximise shooting between recharges.

The AX100 is designed to be compact and lightweight for travel and boasts a big window for a clear view of the camera LCD viewfinder and an internal color correction flip filter. Three port options are available: a standard port (SP34A), a flat port (FP34A), which is good for macro work, and a wide port (GP34A) offering a 100-degree field of view.
