Will the Frankenfish get FDA Approval?
In an article published in the Vancouver Sun, the Canadian Press looks at the first genetically modified fish that might pass FDA approval.
After receiving a large response during its regular comment period, the FDA has extended the comment deadline another 60 days. The FDA reviews the comments before issuing an approval. The Canada Press reports that other GMO foods have been approved for consumption for the last 20 years but this would be the first transgenic animal.
