Firmware Update: Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 DG & Mount Converter

Sigma 24-70mm f/2.9 DG OS HSM Art Lens
Yesterday Sigma announced a new firmware update for their 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Art lens and Mount Converter MC-11 SA-E / EF-E. The firmware update addresses an issue with the OS mechanism. Apparently, the mechanism did not properly operate when affixed to the Sigma Mount Converter MC-11 SA-E / EF-E.
Sigma has asked customers to make sure Sigma Optimization Pro is at version 1.4.0 or later for Macintosh and version 1.4.1 for Windows. Those that use the Sigma USB Dock should update the firmware through Sigma Optimization Pro. And others that have the Sigma Mount Converter MC-11 SA-E /EF-E should connect to the computer via supplied USB cable.
