Fantasea Line has announced its latest housing for the Sony RX100 series: the FRX100 VI Limited Edition, which is specially designed for the new Sony RX100 VI. Fantasea’s FRX100 V housing—which is compatible with the three previous RX100 iterations, the Mark III, Mark IV, and Mark V—doesn’t accommodate the latest model because of Sony’s decision to switch the long-running 24–70mm lens for a new 24–200mm lens.

The FRX100 VI LE housing shares all of the features of its predecessors, including its tough polycarbonate construction and ergonomic design, double O-ring main seal, built-in moisture detector, and dual fiber-optic connectivity.

The longer focal lengths of the Mark VI’s new lens—of limited use for underwater photography—are sensibly restricted when used in Fantasea’s housing, which allows the lens to be used in an ideal focal length range of 24–66mm (or up to 60mm when diving at depths greater than 130 feet). The FRX100 VI LE, which features a standard 67mm thread, can be used with the same accessory system as previous editions of the housing, including the extensive range of wet lenses produced by Fantasea and Fantasea-AOI.

Pricing information has not been provided, but the housing is likely to cost around $400 in the U.S.
