The 7th annual European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007 (rather, Gesellschaft Deutscher Tierfotografen e.V.) showcases the best wildlife images from amateur and professional photographers from all over Europe.

The competition includes a category for the Underwater World. DPG featured PRO photographer Charles Hood took home the winning award for a great shot of a hammerhead in the surf. Michel Roggo was the runner up with a shot of spawning salmon. Additional highly commended images can be found on the competition website.
Winners as well as the runners-up of each category won cash prizes, with the overall winner receiving a check for €2,000. Winning images will be on display at the International Nature Photography Festival in Lünen from Oct 26th - 28th . After the festival the exhibition will on a road show for exhibition iin various museums and exhibition centres in Germany and abroad.
