How To Enter The DPG's Monthly Underwater Photography Contests
By Matt J. Weiss, December 16, 2009 @ 02:51 AM (EST)
In the old site you added a tag to your image in order to enter the current monthly contest. We thought that this wasn't the most effective or intuitive way of entering the contest, so we created a new contest entering system. It is amazingly simple...Note: even if you had already tagged your images for future contests, you will still need to enter them using the new, incredibly, simple system.
The entire process takes anywhere from 20 seconds to 1 minute...after you decide which images you want to enter!
The first step is to enter the monthly contest section of DivePhotoGuide

Once you are there, scroll down a bit until you see the "Enter Current Contest" button. Hit this button to see the description of the current contest.
At the bottom of this page you will see the new entering system. You can enter an image from an existing DPG gallery by choosing a gallery and then hitting "select image" under the image you want to enter. Additionally, you can upload a new image into either an existing gallery or create a new gallery for your entry.
It's as simple as that! There is really no reason not try your shot at one of the great prizes or the glory of placing with a system so easy. Of course, entering is free. Good luck!
