The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has announced its yearly photography gear award winners—and as you might have expected, nearly all of the hottest mirrorless models get a nod. The association hands the Nikon Z6 its “Camera of the Year” award, calling it “a superb camera with sensational handling and robust build quality that delivers excellent images in almost any shooting situation.”
The “Advanced Camera” and “Advanced Full-Frame Camera” accolades go to the Fujifilm X-T3 and Panasonic Lumix S1R, respectively. The Sony RX100 VI is deemed the best compact camera, while the Canon EOS RP is considered the best “best buy” full-frame camera. Finally, Fujifilm and Sony pick up another award each with the Fujifilm GFX100 medium format mirrorless bagging the “Camera Innovation” award, and the Sony a6400 APS-C mirrorless claiming the award for “Photo/Video Camera.”
Established in 1982, EISA is a collaboration between various multimedia magazines, which test cameras, video cameras, audio equipment, smartphones, and so on.
