Ever wanted to do a quick photo editing job on the go and didn’t have a computer handy? Well, now you can with a new browser-based photo editor called Edit.Photo. Putting aside how impressive it is that someone managed to get hold of the domain “edit.photo,” the new tool is surprisingly nimble and intuitive, and mercifully, you’re not bombarded with ads and popups, demands to create an account, questionable cookies, or any other annoyances.
Edit.Photo is built on pintura, a Javascript Image Editor SDK developed by a Dutch company called PQINA that develops “highly polished web components.” The app, which works on both desktop and mobile browsers, offers all the basic editing tools you need, including the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, exposure, color temperature, clarity, and more. You can also crop and rotate, resize, create vignettes, and add frames. All the magic happens inside your browser and when you’re done, you can export to your smartphone, tablet or laptop. One caveat: You’re limited to either JPEG or PNG files, as there’s no support for RAW formats.
Head over to Edit.Photo to check it out.
