While we love the existing underwater photography community, it’s always great when the evangelization of submerged imagery extends to a mass audience. It’s even better when the proselytizing comes from a DPG team member.
DPG Field Editor Joanna Lentini recently published a heck of an introductory article on the photo website Fstoppers. “Barriers to Entry: Underwater Photography” is essentially a guide for getting started from scratch—including getting a dive cert, estimating costs, choosing a housing, and some basic techniques.
But even if you’re not green in the game of underwater photography, there are useful tips on how to improve your imagery even from landlocked locations. Oh, and if you’re in the NYC area this week, make sure to check out Joanna’s new photo exhibit “Fire and Ice” at the Novado Gallery in Jersey City.
