DPG Announces Winners of October Contest
By Joseph Tepper, November 27, 2012 @ 02:04 PM (EST)

It's getting cold out--and that means it's time for the results from out scary October Monthly Photo Contest!

DPG is very proud to announce the especially spooky winners of our October Monthly Photo Contest. The theme for last month was “Strange and Spooktacular” and the winner of a free subscription to Scuba Diver-Through the Lens magazine is Anders Nyberg.

Anders captured the judges’ votes with his abstract shot titled “Ghost of the Abyss,” a truly spooky image of an abyssal creature. The judges thought the mood of the photograph exemplified the “strange and spooktacular” theme.

First Place: Anders Nyberg

Second place went to DPG contest veteran Luc Rooma for his creepy image of an isopod hitching a ride on a jellyfish. Henry Jager took home third place for her screaming shot of a series of caves!

Second Place: Luc Rooman

Third Place: Henry Jager

Again, a big thank you to our all-star team of judges, who help sift through hundreds of images each month- DPG editors Matt Weiss and Joseph Tepper, Keri Wilk, Jeff De Guzman, Steve De Neef, Tobias Friedrich and Mark Fuller.

Thanks for all the tricks and treats and make sure to enter November’s contest- the theme is “Fashion.”
