Divers Attempt Deepest Arctic Dive

A brave group of divers will be attempting a 100-meter-deep dive north of the Arctic Circle, in what is believed to be the deepest ever in the area.
In addition to setting the record for deepest dive north of the Arctic Circle, the team will test out new diving equipment, document the impact of deep, cold water diving, and collect marine specimens.
“Cold water diving involves additional risks like temperature, unexpected currents, darkness in deep water, large animals, as well as the lack of necessary data,” says Alexander Gubin, an expedition member.
Good luck to those involved in the expedition and safe diving ahead.
