Diver Survives Earthquake Underwater
When underwater photographers are asked to give a number on a scale rating their dive, it’s usually not the Richter scale. That wasn’t the case for Jessica Read.
On a dive in the Philippines, Jessica survived a 7.2-magnitude quake. According to Read, “I could see waterfalls of sand pouring over the coral, and on the seafloor, a few metres below us, cracks began forming and the sand was sucked down.”
Talk about an earth shattering dive.
