Idiot People Beat Up Seals

Sigh. A group of cruel, stupid people have caused La Jolla Beach to close after a 24-hour 'seal cam' caught footage of them kicking, punching, and sitting on top of mother seals and their pups.
The beach will be closed for two months between the hours of sunrise and sunset. According to www.sfgate.com, the 24-hour "seal-cam" was introduced in January and equipped with night vision so researchers and the public could watch the seals give birth during pupping season.
