DEMA 2008: Ikelite
By Matt J. Weiss, October 27, 2008 @ 02:00 AM (EST)
One of the most popular items being showcased in the entire photo pavilion this year at DEMA will probably the new DS-160 strobe from Ikelite. It’s very hard to tell the difference between the DS-160 and the DS-125, one of the most popular strobes on the market. The main differences are a LED modeling light and 10 manual power settings that are clear upgrades.

Ikelite is usually one of the first to come out with housings for the new cameras, and true to name will be shipping their polycarbonate housings for the Nikon D700, Nikon D90 and Canon 50D housings sometime next week.
Also being showcased by Ikelite was the PRO-V 8LED video light. The light has a wider angle of coverage, and a warmer output than a dive light. The video light uses 8-LEDs, hence its name, and will last for 10 hours on 8 C cell batteries.
