Well another DEMA has come and gone. As always the week flew by, and even the four long days were not enough time to see all the new products and talk to everyone. This show though was a particularly great one for the underwater photo and video community.
Some major new products were released that will likely be major products in the market for a number of years. A new major strobe from Sea & Sea, the Wahoo monitor from Backscatter, and a whole line up of new housings for EVIL cameras are milestone releases.

The show is more than just products, and I can't remember seeing so many great photographers at one show -- especially the new school of photographers. At one point Joe Romerio, Daniel Botelho, Keri Wilk, Cal Mero and Joe Tepper were all hanging out around the DPG booth. It's great to see the new wave of underwater image creators make their mark at the major industry event.

These younger photographers got to mingle with industry vets at our Underwater Imaging party that we host every year. In fact, this year was our biggest fiesta yet, with over 300 people showing up for the event. We rocked the Rosen Centre pool area for 4 hours (thanks to the Rosen Centre for their help).

Lastly, this was a particularly special DEMA for DPG because it marked the release of our first print mag - Scuba Diver Through The Lens. The collaboration of DPG with Scuba Diver Australasia and Editions Fifty Fathoms has produced what we feel is a print magazine that the industry needed.
Thanks to everyone we talked to at this years show from the whole DPG team -
Matt Weiss, Joe Tepper, Jason Heller, Cal Mer, Maria Littlefield and Rachel Messina
