Dell has announced its UltraSharp 32 6K monitor (U3224KB) aimed at creative professionals. According to Dell, it’s the first 6K monitor with an IPS Black display, promising 41 percent deeper blacks and up to 1.2 times better color accuracy than regular IPS panels. The UltraSharp 32 6K supports 1.07 billion colors and delivers a wide color gamut with support for 99 percent of the DCI-P3 and Display P3 color gamuts. It boasts the same size, resolution (6,144×3,456 pixels) and color depth as Apple’s ultra-high-end Pro Display XDR.
The UltraSharp 32 6K includes a stand offering height adjustment and the ability to rotate the monitor to a vertical orientation. It comes with a built-in dual-gain 4K HDR webcam, echo-canceling mic, and dual 14W speakers. You can hook up the monitor via DisplayPort 2.1 or Thunderbolt 4, and there are plenty of ports: a pair of USB-C slots and a USB-A port on the front and an HDMI 2.1 port, USB-C port, and four USB-A ports around the back. There’s a 140W Thunderbolt 4 port for powering your laptop and additional 15W Thunderbolt 4 ports that can supply power to most accessories.
The only thing Dell didn’t share when it showed off the monitor at CES 2023? Price and availability. If you’re in the market for a pro-level 6K monitor, you’ll just have to keep an eye out for it on the Dell website.
