DPG contributor and split shot extraordinaire David Doubilet is the subject of a profile written by The Sun.
The profile -cleverly titled "Pictures to Dive for"- describes Doubilet’s process, from his humble beginnings to his world famous images featured on the pages of National Geographic. Of course, underwater photography wouldn’t make a cameo in the mainstream media with a little help from some fear-inducing hyperboles.
"There are dangerous situations. One that sticks in my head is when we were doing night dives in a river in Okavango Deta, northern Botswana,” said Doubilet in the Sun’s article. “"The water was full of crocodiles and hippos and because they follow sound and movement we couldn't go back to shoot in the same place twice.”
