Credit Added to Metadata of Google Images

Google Images has announced a new feature that adds creator and credit info to the image metadata. You can find this additional info by clicking the three-dot symbol when viewing an image in the search results.
The company admits that there are significant challenges to including accurate credit info in the metadata. But much of this has to do with the availability of metadata in uploaded images. Google will soon add copywrite data to the metadata (if available) and encourage photographers to properly include relevant metadata in their uploads.
